  • 7:53 a.m. Deputy and Two Harbors Rescue Squad responded to report of a lost camper near Snowbank Lake. Hiker found safe.
  • 9:42 a.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Lax Lake Road. Warned for speed.
  • 9:47 a.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 2. Cited for speed 83/55.
  • 10:38 a.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 2. Cited for speed 79/55.

    • 7:37 a.m. Deputy at William Kelley High School for the start of the school day.
    • 9:04 a.m. Deputy responded to report of gas drive offs in Silver Bay. Unable to locate.
    • 2:02 p.m. Sheriff and deputy at Two Harbors High School for evacuation drills.
    • 3:41 p.m. Deputy and Lake County Rescue Squad respond to medical at Gooseberry Falls State Park. One transported to Lake View Hospital by ambulance.
    • 6:35 p.m. Deputies assisted Silver Bay Police Department with report of suicide threats.
    • 9:14 p.m. Deputy responded to report of an ATV accident near Divide Lake. One taken to Lake View Hospital by ambulance.

    • 10:38 a.m. Deputy checked residence on house watch list.
    • 12:37 p.m. Deputy responded to report of individual dumping garbage on private property.
    • 4:10 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Forest Highway 11 near Big 39 Creek. Warned for speed.

    • 2:24 p.m. Deputy responded to report of trespassing at Knife River residence.
    • 2:50 p.m. Deputy responded to report of vehicle in ditch on County Road 1 near White Pine Road. Tow on the way.
    • 4:48 p.m. Deputy hits deer with squad on Penn Boulevard at ski trail.
    • 5:20 p.m. Deputy stood by for custody exchange at Knife River rest stop.
    • 5:42 p.m. Deputy responded to report of suspicious vehicle at rural Two Harbors residence. Vehicle gone on arrival.
    • 6:09 p.m. Deputy responded to report of vehicle on County Road 2 at Forest Highway 11. Vehicle unoccupied.
    • 6:20 p.m. Deputy out with party on railroad tracks at Scenic Drive. Party is with North Shore Scenic Railroad and is waiting for the tourist train.
    • 8:36 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Valley Road at Juth Road. Warned for speed.
    • 8:44 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Valley Road at County Road 12. Warned for speed and no proof of insurance.
    • 9:38 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 2 at East Alger Grade. Warned for speed and failure to dim high beams.
    • 9:57 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 2 at Ecumen Scenic Shores. Warned for speed.
    • 11:15 p.m. Deputy out with vehicle on Cramer Road near Sonju Lake Road. Vehicle having issues.

    • 5:57 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 at Little Marais Road. Warned for speed.
    • 6:17 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 near Lupin Drive. Warned for speed.

    Saturday, Sept. 8

    • 4:54 a.m. Deputy, Two Harbors Police Department responded to report of domestic disturbance at Two Harbors area residence. Parties separated for the night.
    • 6:06 a.m. Deputy, Lake County Rescue Squad, Two Harbors Fire Department, U.S. Forest Service responded to structure fire on Stony Loop Road. No reported injuries.
    • 11:03 a.m. Deputy escorted wide load hauling a shed from Lax Lake Road to Adams Boulevard.
    • 11:44 a.m. Deputy, Silver Bay Police Department, ambulance, rescue, Two Harbors Fire Department respond to motorcycle accident on Minnesota Highway 61 at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. Ambulance transported injured.
    • 2:19 p.m. Deputy served papers at Two Harbors residence.
    • 3:42 p.m. Deputy responded to report of theft from estate sale in Knife River.
    • 4:15 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop at Beaver Bay Holiday. Warned for speed.
    • 5:43 p.m. Deputy on standby for games at Isabella Community Center.
    • 6:20 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Valley Road at Juth Road. Warned for speed.
    • 7:40 p.m. Deputy responded to report of motorcycle in ditch at Kawishiwi Trail residence. Biker found a stray cat and was returning it to the house.
    • 7:56 p.m. Deputy out with lost vehicle on County Road 1 at Snake Trail. Directed them to Tettegouche State Park on Lax Lake Road.
    • 8:09 p.m. Deputy responded to report of suspicious vehicle at Don’s Auto. Vehicle gone on arrival.
    • 8:15 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 2 at DuFresne Road. Warned for speed and no tail lights.
    • 9:49 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 at Northshore Mining. Warned for no tail lights, brake light out and no proof of insurance.
    • 10:45 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 at East Castle Danger Road. Warned for speed.

    • 3:57 p.m. Deputy assisted Babbitt Police Department with report of male with a gun. Unfounded.
    • 4:13 p.m. Deputy assisted Silver Bay Police Department with report of drunk driver on Drake Road. Party brought to Lake County Jail.
