• 1:53 a.m. Out with occupied vehicle at Flood Bay. Tourists were looking at the waves, all secure.

• 9:29 a.m. Deputy responded to report of damage to property at Finland residence.

• 5:23 p.m. Deputy responded to report of a one vehicle accident on Minnesota Minnesota Highway 61.

• 7:08 p.m. Deputy spoke to resident regarding safety concerns.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

Inmate Population: 13

• 9:15 a.m. Deputy assisted party that hit deer on Birch Lake Road. Deer dispatched and permit tag issued.

• 9:58 a.m. Deputy stood by for civil lock out.

• 2:09 p.m. Deputy checked welfare of party in Ely area. All secure.

• 2:33 p.m. Deputy assisted St. Louis County with medical in Ely area.

• 4:03 p.m. Sergeant transported inmate with Lake County warrant from Carlton County to Lake County Jail

• 6:38 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Highway 1 near Deep Lake Road. Warned for speed.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

Inmate Population: 15

• 12:16 a.m. Deputy assisted jail.

• 2:56 a.m. Deputy responded along with Two Harbors Police Department to report of a domestic disturbance in Two Harbors.

• 5:24 a.m. Deputy, along with Silver Bay Police Department, attempted to locate possible drunk driver.

• 7:31 a.m. Deputies responded to report of smoke at Superior Shores.

• 7:51 a.m. Deputy responded to report of car vs. deer.

• 8:58 a.m. Lake County Rescue Squad responded to medical on Highway 3. No transport.

• 9:14 a.m. Deputy responded to report of a power line down on Old North Shore Road. Cooperative Light and Power on scene.

• 10:03 a.m. Deputy responded to report of damage to property in Two Harbors.

• 11:04 a.m. Deputy responded to unknown trouble at residence on County Road 3. Party having phone issues. All secure.

• 11:21 a.m. Deputy took report of a minor fender bender.

• 11:40 a.m. Deputy responded to report of tree on power line, sparking.

• 1:18 p.m. Lake County Rescue Squad responded to medical in Two Harbors. One transported to Lake View Hospital by ambulance.

• 2:58 p.m. Lake County Rescue Squad responded to medical on County Road 3. One transported to Lake View Hospital by ambulance.

• 3:35 p.m. Deputy took report of threats made.

• 4:59 p.m. Deputy assisted Minnesota State Patrol with tree on Minnesota Highway 61.

• 5:02 p.m. Deputy responded to report of harassment.

• 5:41 p.m. Deputy served papers at Silver Bay residence.

• 6:42 p.m. Deputy, along with Silver Bay Police Department, responded to report of suicide threat.

• 7:43 p.m. Deputy responded to report of vehicle in the ditch on County Road 1. Driver lost control in slush. No injuries reported.

Thursday, Oct. 11

Inmate Population: 16

• 8:46 a.m. Deputy transported inmate from Grand Rapids to court in Lake County and back to Grand Rapids.

• 9:34 a.m. Sergeant transported inmate to Lake County Jail.

• 9:42 a.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61. Warned for speed.

• 10:43 a.m. Deputy and Lake County Rescue Squad respond to medical at Finland business. One transported by ambulance to Lake View Hospital.

• 11:02 a.m. Deputy out with vehicle in the ditch on Kawishiwi Trail.

• 12:27 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Fourth Street. Warned for speed.

• 1:13 p.m. Deputy and Lake County Rescue Squad responded to medical on Fors Road. One transported to Essentia by ambulance.

• 4:26 p.m. Deputies and Lake County Rescue Squad responded to report of two lost hikers on the Superior Hiking Trail. Party located safe.

• 11:38 p.m. Deputy, along with Two Harbors Police Department, respond to report of an assault in Two Harbors. One brought to the Lake County Jail for probation violation.

Friday, Oct. 12

• 6:23 a.m. Deputy attempted to locate wrong way driver on Minnesota Highway 61. Unable to locate.

• 9:46 a.m. Deputy took report of theft in Finland.

• 10:11 a.m. Deputy assisted Border Patrol.

• 11:31 a.m. Lake County Rescue Squad responded to medical at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center.

• 3:21 p.m. Deputies and Lake County Rescue Squad responded to report of a one vehicle accident on Minnesota Highway 61.

• 4:03 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 12 near Moen Road. Warned for speed.

• 6:16 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Scenic Drive. Warned for speed.

• 7:33 p.m. Deputy took report of suspicious activity on East Alger Grade.

• 7:43 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 near Outer Drive. Warned for speed.

• 8:00 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Main Street near Lax Lake Road. Warned for speed.

• 8:15 p.m. Deputy makes traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61. Warned for speed.

• 8:28 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 near Split Rock Lighthouse. Warned for speed, failure to update driver's license address.

• 9:01 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61. Warned for brake light out.

• 9:53 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 near West Castle Danger Road. Warned for speed.

• 9:54 p.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 near Little Marais Road. Warned for speed.

Saturday, Oct. 13

• 1:03 a.m. Deputy assists Silver Bay Police Department with traffic stop.

• 1:21 a.m. Deputy made traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 61 near Gate 6 Road. Warned for speed.

• 1:23 a.m. Deputy responds to unknown trouble in rural Two Harbors. Party had phone problems.

• 5:33 a.m. Deputy removed deer from Minnesota Highway 61.

• 10:50 a.m. Deputy made traffic stop on County Road 2 near Alger Grade. Warned for speed and one too many passengers — driver had provisional license.

• 11:45 a.m. Deputy, along with Silver Bay Police Department, attempted to pick up party with Lake County warrant. One brought to Lake County Jail.

• 3:54 p.m. Deputies responded to report of a two vehicle accident on Minnesota Highway 61. No serious injuries reported.

• 3:59 p.m. Deputies, along with Silver Bay Police Department, responded to report of a psychological problem. One party trespassed.

• 6:26 p.m. Deputy, along with Silver Bay Police Department, responded to report of suspicious activity in Silver Bay.

• 6:52 p.m. Deputy responded to report of car vs. deer on Minnesota Highway 61. No injuries reported. Tow truck en route.

• 8:49 p.m. Deputy responded to report of possible abuse.

• 9:45 p.m. Deputy responded to report of someone parked unsafe on Little Marais Road.

Sunday, Oct. 14

Inmate Population: 20

• 1:06 a.m. Deputy assisted Two Harbors Police Department with report of an unwanted person at Two Harbors residence.

• 7:34 a.m. Deputy responded, along with Silver Bay Police Department, to report of someone trespassing at property on Minnesota Highway 61. Party sent on their way.

• 1:46 p.m. Deputy responded to report of suspicious activity at Split Rock Overlook. Unable to locate party.

• 5:41 p.m. Deputy responded to report of property damage on Highway 3.
