The Two Harbors Police Department responded Thursday, Nov. 15, at approximately 8:30 p.m. to a report of vehicles being "egged" throughout the city. As of 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, the THPD, through their investigation and from complaints from residents, has identified approximately 30 vehicles that have been vandalized with eggs.

Paving work begins Tuesday, Sept. 4, on Minnesota Highway 61 between Fifth and Eighth streets in Two Harbors.
As repairs were made to the roof of William Kelley High School in Silver Bay last summer, something unexpected was discovered. A large flock of chimney swifts was discovered roosting in the the chimney of the school, so plans to demolish the structure were put on hold. Instead, local bird enthusiast Peg Robertsen organized the first “Chimney Swift Sit” in an attempt to count the number of birds calling WKHS home. The group observed hundreds of the tiny birds entering and leaving the chimney.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has completed a $2.05 million resurfacing and culvert replacement project on U.S. Highway 61 in the Gooseberry, Beaver Bay and Illgen City areas, according to a press release from MnDOT.
The Two Harbors City Council will hold a special meeting Monday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. to discuss the 2018 Street and Alley Improvement Project.
